Listed buildings and conservation areas often come under strict by-laws, rules and regulations regarding erecting or demolishing fences and walls, so we cannot always do what we like to protect our own property. Indeed it is more likely that we have to preserve railings surrounding a listed building and feel that we are compromising security in doing so. This perimeter security system uses high tensile wires, spaced at a distance of 95mm apart and a safe, high voltage pulse is delivered through alternate wires every second. The wire alternates between live and earth.

The obvious physical presence of the electric security fencing with its bright yellow warning signs, presents a potent front line deterrent. Access to the premises can therefore be denied at the perimeter. As soon as an attempt to climb or cut the fence is made, a safe, short, sharp, very unpleasant shock is felt, resulting in a very effective barrier. Any attempt to breach the electric fence generates an immediate alarm in the guards post, control centre or central station.

VibeWire™ piezoelectric sensor cable is applied to the structure being protected. Audible signals and vibrations generated during an attack are transmitted to the FenceSecure™ seismic analyser for detection. The analyser detection channels are programmed to detect, penetration, cutting, climbing or attempts to sabotage the system.

WallSecure™ uses special SIDS™ analysers combined with VibeWire™ piezoelectric cable to create a fully monitored perimeter intrusion detection. SIDS™ systems can be used to protect entire walls, buildings and roof tops. The unobtrusive system can be applied to walls, floors and roofs to provide early warning of attack or intrusion.

Giving people an electric shock may be extreme and a verbal authoritative warning might be more appropriate under certain circumstances. VoiceMaster™ for example is an electronic annunciation system that provides an efficient method of transmitting and communicating alarms and warning messages.
VoiceMaster™ uses human voice messages, either from a library or your own personalised message, stored electronically, to be recalled and transmitted whenever required.
